"I didn't want to make an album about love as a fantasy; instead, I kept it real. I wanted to show the true human experiences we go through when living it." In this way, Daddy Yankee presented "La Postal" a few days ago—his latest studio album, which boasts stellar collaborations and is shaping up to be one of the standout releases of the year.

In "La Postal," the Puerto Rican artist—one of the most renowned figures in the Hispanic urban music and reggaeton industries—makes various references to love in the 15 songs that make up the album—the ninth of his career.

Daddy Yankee wrote every single song on "La Postal," although on some of them he has had the support and collaboration of renowned musical figures such as Bizarrap, Cardi B, Danny Ocean and Mike Towers.

His latest studio album also features a variety of musical styles: from the classic rhythms of reggaeton he has used so often throughout his career to sounds reminiscent of other genres such as Afrobeat (originating in Nigeria), pop, salsa and rap.

His first single was '"Botz," although, coinciding with the album's official release, he highlighted the song "Pa' Que Llorar," which features Bizarrap, as the album's standout track.

At 50, Daddy Yankee proves once again that he's still at the prime of his musical career. For now, the Puerto Rican artist has no world tour scheduled for his new album.
